Brief History

  • The Department of Applied Foreign Language was established in 1994. In 1994, the 5-year program was set up for students graduated from junior high schools. The program included both English and Japanese sections.
  • In 1995, the 2-year program was offered to provide an effective learning environment for students graduated from vocational high schools to learn further professional skills.
  • In 1996, the Applied Foreign Language Department was divided into separate divisions: The English Department and the Japanese Department.
  • In 1997, Nai Tai College received University status from the Ministry of Education.
  • In 2003, the master' s program was established.
